Teague Electric Construction is seeking a dedicated Accounting Associate to join our esteemed team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our Accounting department, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records with precision and professionalism.

  • Responsibilities include Full Cycle Accounts Payable: data entry, statement verification, and vender collaboration with meticulous attention to detail
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining financial reports, General Ledger Account and benefits reconciliations to provide clear insights into our financial performance
  • Accounts Receivable Reconciliations & Bank Deposits Backup and verify financial data accuracy with a focus on precision
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes with efficiency and accuracy while enforcing compliance controls
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve departmental goals and contribute to our success
  • Full Cycle Accounts Payable: data entry, statement verification, contacting vendors to correct invoicing

Job requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least five years’ experience in accounting or a related field; public accounting experience is beneficial.
  • Capable of working in a team environment
  • Clear reliable documentation of work.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Solid understanding of accounts payable procedures and general ledger reconciliation
  • Knowledge of debits, credits, and double-entry bookkeeping
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to details
  • Accuracy in data entry and calculations
  • Strong analytical skills to identify discrepancies or trends in data
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Clear written & spoken communication.
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • GAAP familiarity helpful
